Perfect Day Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Perfect Day

Fall flowers smell like a Spring fragrant wave
The sunshine is ever most pleasing
School was fun for such a great day
Now that Summer is leaving

How many days can a child admire
Today has been such a wonderful day
Warm and cool, without a cloud in the sky
The leaves falling like colorful rain

As the breeze blows it can lift us away
Like flying while running faster than fast
Racing the cars and kids on their bikes
The winner is first to pass the big crack

Now nearing home a smell fills the air
It smells like mom's apple pie
Sure as the day, there on the shelf the pie was
A marvelous end to this beautiful day
