Laying a picnic blanket down
We've brought a basket with us

The weather's perfect on this day
The sun's shining in the sky
There's no clouds around
A perfect summer's day
A perfect summer's day to pass the time away
A perfect summer's day with you

As we have lunch
We talk about the future
Where we want to go
What we want to do
As well as our hopes, dreams, and wishes
for the present and future

Sometimes, love
I wish I knew what the future holds
And will happen to you and me
And where we're going to be

You tell me not to worry
Time will take care of itself

For the time being
I can tell you enjoy being with me
And I enjoy being with you
On this perfect summer's day
