Perfect Sunset Poem by Bad Medicine

Perfect Sunset

The perfect sunset never meant to be...
Is that right?
You know how when the sun is setting into the ocean, the two just meet perfectly and they cause everything around them to become in sync. The colors of the sky and every other element in the universe seem in perfect harmony.
That's the way it is when I'm with you. You're my perfect sunset never meant to be.
Can you imagine the sun never setting into the ocean? It's so hard not to show my true feelings, to deny these feelings that flow through me.
The sunset not to be…
With her light I awake
Even from the furthest distance her rays awake and warm me
From first light I know she is drawn to me and I am to her
Every moment I await for the union that must be seen
Can two truly met as one
This is the sense I get from the touch of first light
This warmth must be a facade to good to be true.
But as her rays approach so agonizingly slow but still lovely
I rise up in anticipation... waiting …yearning...
Her rays tell me she yearns as well for the moment we meet
We set into each other and the world is colored in peace and harmony
So many clouds come between us
Storm after storm
But the union is meant to be
The storm blocks the sun from her ocean
There is still the belief that they will meet and have their sunset
The storm blocks all light all hope
Could this be the sunset not meant to be
This sunset so bright, so perfect denied...
