Perfection Failed
Today perfection failed
His mother mourns his loss
His mother's love has faltered
One more nail for his cross
Today perfection failed
A tear falls at my side
Not the first to fall though
That has guilt and shame to hide
Today perfection failed
He stumbles and we both fall
For when perfection failed
Failure had none to gain
And when perfection failed
It was over for us all
