Perfume & Glamour Part 1 Poem by Paula Glynn

Perfume & Glamour Part 1

Models know how to be fair as they play,
For they are truly cosmopolitan beauties,
And I think this as I read 'Vogue' magazine,
So many women of perfume & glamour,
That strut their stuff down the catwalk,
Painted faces with serious expressions,
Selling beautiful clothes for the rich,
And advertising glamorous perfumes,
But not just for the young,
However, fashion can still be fun,
Women buying Estee Lauder foundations,
And colourful all-day lipsticks,
With their face next to the brand name,
And they share their wealth and fame,
The world a colourful and exciting place for them,
And they will live forever and ever,
Never to be forgotten by the world,
And they mingle at parties,
Just chatting and laughing as they drink pink champagne,
And the lights play on a roomful of beautiful faces,
That travel from exotic, far away places,
And for this world they do care,
For love is in their beating hearts,
And they show that they care,
Love that they're only too happy to share.
I suppose I should be jealous,
But I just can't be,
For models are a breed unto their own,
And the fashion industry is their destiny,
Their fate, their life, their home,
And they are as mysterious as the stars shining above,
In a night sparkling with perfume & glamour.
