Perseverance Measuring? Poem by Tajudeen Shah

Perseverance Measuring?

Flood or Ebola, Quake or Cyclones,
Accidents or Assassinations,
Even sandy graves when daunt,
Lidless eyes drizzle dead gazes.
When tear drains off unto bosoms,
Drought invades feeble hearts,
Cracking even the tiny veins
To measure man's perseverance?

The occurrences taking place around are so alarming and disgusting! As a result, a kind of morbidity has set in with nothing to hope for but to be subdued by hostile forces! After AIDS, now Ebola has become the greatest villain and it is claiming thousands of lives in many parts of Africa especially in Liberia! All our tears are drained out and a severe drought has parched our spirits! Great write!
