Ph: Bible: A Christian Perspective Poem by Brian Johnston

Ph: Bible: A Christian Perspective

Christian's are fond of saying 'God loves me'
And ‘we' know that this sounds egotistical ,
But it's not our claim that we're loved more than you,
Our reasons for faith truly mystical.

Add to 'God loves me'…'though I'm unworthy! '
And you will see that the Ego's not King,
But unworthy state can't make me a worm
For God's grace saves me from most everything!

Our faith overflows with such paradox
And paradox like wine only tasted,
But in God's realm paradox can be true
And thus is human logic lambasted!

The real issue here … God loves who He loves,
He's just, no corruption by moth or rust,
Perfection seen but too big to take in,
In faith, there's no worry, just simple trust!
