Phantom Rose Poem by Ali Latife

Phantom Rose

thee angel, who drew my shadow to light, I think her, endlessly
for her I be, ever-green
daisies, lilies, red roses, their gentle fragrance, held me

in my solitary at night, I plead moon
I cried sun, to come and unveil
to grace the sky, I lace land with ounces of tears
untold agony, burn me in cold flame
Un ended black, it always stay
naive I, with her kiss I be high
naive I, without her I be denied

among nightmares, her phantom appear
and wickedness, in a glance disappear
violin, flute, bassoon, and chorus of red roses
bloomed band such, I need
I lay among love and sorrow, on their tunes
within and beyond heaven, I soothe
Alive new, never again be in woe
in her eyes, least I cry

stained red, my hands were
then she shone as A sun, on my bitter days
dried this sin, this red sin
damned me hers, forever hers
Tomorrow, I be hers to prey
if not, I'll fall asleep, against the current of time
Nor heaven nor hell, nor day nor night
Will forget me her.
Nor dark nor light, nor pain nor joy
Will forget me her.

I am alone, embracing darkness
Begging, to have a home
A waves of emotions, streams
Even darkness, in front flees
A cold heart within, yearn her joy
Her kisses and embraces, I seek
In my garden, all screamed
My endless passion, her alone can gain

I see her beauty, in every sweet scented rose.
And I hear her sound, in any pause.
Come with moonlight shone above gales, be my moon
Bliss my roses, make them bloom
So I could be, forever yours.
