Phoenix Queen Poem by Samantha Campbell

Phoenix Queen

From flames
I emerge
fire in my eyes
a look to purge

Here is the
Phoenix Queen
a Dragoness of flames

Only the worthy
stand so near
and they lift my image
they hold it dear

No hesitation
No excuses

Persistence is what
keeps their place
for all the desire
is a smile upon
this Phoenix's face

All others pale
in the bright
fiery flames
of this
southern
Belle

Heat seeks
its cooling
counterpart

The one
that helps
fan the fires
and bring her light
for all to see
his truest desires

And thus
with flaming footsteps
I leave my mark
upon the trail
of which I blaze
my road out of Hell

Rebirth
from the fires
of destruction

Reborn
from the ashes
of the past

Burning brighter
than before

I am the Phoenix Queen
I am of fire and ash
