Physics Poem by Chester Whitfield

Physics

Crystals erupt from coffee stained Earth
stretching closer to the apocolyptic handshake
geometric beasts forming on the surface
of an even greater evil

Spider plants drip horror on the masses
violets and daisies
weeping withered petals
victims, floral amputees

Lightning strikes the tip of the giant first
deciduous king of the forest
fallen now to a tidal wave of electrons
demise of blue spark and fiery furnace

The cosmic smile, plasma, helium
curls upwards in the winter night sky
