Picture Of Us Poem by Stuart Doggett

Picture Of Us

I see you there before me,
I see us touching skin,
I see your seductive smile,
I close my eyes just wishing.
I can almost feel your warmth,
I can almost smell you here,
I can almost hear your sweet voice,
I wish that you were near.

Eyes that begin to blur,
The misty curtain falls,
Heart that hangs so heavy,
I break down when it calls.
Nothing feels right,
Nothing feels the same,
Things go by, but
I’m blinded by the pain.
