Picture (Redux) Poem by Weldon Davis

Picture (Redux)

Picture a purple majesty
Across a gray scattered sky
That's the feeling I get
When it's you and I

Watching birds fly
Observe'n fish swim
We're not him or her
Or them or those

I'm so glad I found you
I'm so glad I chose

A rose

With no thorns
A love with no scorn
I see now the reason I was
Born

Was to be with you always
And
Sense your inner most desires
Take care of you lovingly
And
Be the one you admire

You are the epitome of happiness
And
Every instant you're in my life
It makes mine that much richer
As beautiful
As
That purple majesty across
A gray sky
I pictured
(In 2004)
