Pieces Poem by Kelsea Osterman

Pieces

He loves me, He loves me not, He loves me, He loves me not.
I watch as the pettles fall and land in the water.
I watch as the water ripples away.
I watch as my life flashes in front of me.
I see that my heart belongs to you now.
So please take care of it for it is in many small pieces.
Really I was just hoping by giving you my heart things might get better.
But now that I look back I see what has happened to me in the past.
And I think to myself.
And I start to regret what I have done and given you.
I see what has happened to my heart.
It was ripped out.
It was then stepped on over and over again.
So as I hand it over to you dont mind the missing pieces.
And dont mind that it doesn't look all that nice.
Just please dont do what the others did.
Infact if you are planing on hurting me think of a new way.
Something that is different,
something that will make me remember you.
As I think these thoughts i continue to sing my song.
He loves me, He loves me not, He loves me....
Oh look the last of the petals has now fallen.

I like the way you express your sadness of being hurt by comparing it with falling of petals.Nice way of expressing.

This is an interesting piece. The fact that you anticipate being hurt, but ask for in a unique way, as for a keepsake? Quite a thought..

Okay, did someone hurt you in some very bad way? It seems like you are in pain from something someone did to you.
