Piercing Pain Poem by Olayinka Faderera Olayiwola

Piercing Pain

She is the choice wine in my favourite cellar
She occupied space; she is all I could remember
She took His place, topped the list
But on dooms day
She let it out - words so piercing...words so painful.
All this while that I made her a priority,
I was but merely an option
then I realized I have no choice than to return to him
and with a loving smile and outstretched scared hands -
He embraced me.
