Pirates Poem by Ahmad Arli Hikmawan

Pirates

A pirate ship cruising in the ocean
Like a dot in an endless cushion
Designed to cross the sea safe
Carrying hopes to a new place

Thunders, waves did not stop it
Storms, typhoons wouldn't hold it
The ship even looked better than before
Except for few people that it bore

One night, under the full moon
When no wind blew too soon
The crews shouted and sneered
A lighthouse had appeared

The captain ordered to arm
Grab swords, spears, and any arm
Check every flank and formations
We're gonna show some actions

They ran with swords high
Cannons fired and captain cried
Slaughter anything that stand
Before our ultimate plan

The city did not stand a chance
The robber ransacked and danced
Golds filled their greediness
Gore filled their emptiness

Singing their throat swollen
Cherish the greatest moment
They once again succeed
One less quest to complete

The ship departed once again
Returning to the lane
Of wandering with pain
Under the heavy rain
