Pity: Poem by Dwayne Bailey

Pity:

Rating: 5.0

If I changed my outlook on life,
would you then love me?
If I changed the way I dressed,
would I be good enough to see?
If I changed my political view,
like what you have done;
Would I be the kind of man,
your heart would soon to run?

If I must change who I am,
In order for you to love me;
If you can not accept who I am,
Then I guess were not meant to be.
For I love the man that I am,
And when I look in the mirror I see;
A man whose worth more then you will ever know,
And it is you that I pity.
