Place Your Fingers On My Lips Poem by Nkwain Stephen

Place Your Fingers On My Lips

Place your finger on lips
Gentle friend, seal my lips
Allow me not to burst into tears;
It burns me deeply!
Hide me from this temptative Sights of sighs
Where every eye drips and drips
I am seeing what you never heard
My lord, remove this bitter pearl From my mouth
I am only a fragile child
And cannot compete in the game of the brave
