Plain Jane Was Her Name Poem by Chuy Amante

Plain Jane Was Her Name

Nothing ever better, than this woman, sweet n clever!
Always an adventure, boring, silly or mean, NEVER!

She could cook she could hike,
she'd fix her car and fix my bike!

Smart, no, brilliant! , words can't describe!
As great as they come, nothing to hide!

She smiled and I melted, she'd wink and I'd die!
This was a keeper, or at least I could try!

Could she be captured and put in a box?
A true Earth goddess, and oh, such a fox!

Her movements were perfect, her smile second to none,
How could I get her, how could I be her only one?

Not wanting to tether her, not trying to own,
How could I get her to stay here in my home?

Wild as the Winter, or calm as a lake,
Nothing did I want more than her true love to take!

Was I enough for her, was I even good enough?
Was I too stupid or simple, was I just too rough?

I'd climb any mountain, swim any sea,
If I only knew she was there waiting for me!

Well, I did climb and I did swim for her,
hoping and waiting for anything, even a whisper.

My heart was on fire always in bliss,
one night on the beach came that first kiss!

The history that followed is for just me and her,
my lady, my diamond, forever her love prisoner!
