Platonic Love Poem by Diwakar Bhatt

Platonic Love

Rating: 5.0

When you love someone in heart alone,
Craving and passion of flesh all foregone.

When meeting and talking gives pleasure,
Company brings satisfaction beyond measure.

When you want to see someone to smile always,
Firm support you become against all odd sways.

When you want to take pain of someone dear,
Never would you let appear even a single tear.

When a warm welcome takes away all weariness,
Gesture of belonging becomes more than a caress.

When love takes the undertone of compassion,
Emotions no longer remain servile to obsession.

When serenity of thoughts subdue commotion,
Love is no more a lure but a divine revelation.

When possessiveness fade in enlightenment,
Love becomes sacrifice as a sign of endearment.

When you pass through such feelings enigmatic,
This happens when soul steeps in the love platonic.
