Player Poem by Kay Tee

Your whisper still a record playing over in my mind
Holding on as if we just had seconds left in time
A broken soul seen through a smile
I once had thought was real
When after all I realized you were not close to being healed
Your thoughts when looking at me
Were drifted far, so long
You spoke of me with shame and made me feel I did you wrong
When all along your plan was
To twist my curly hair
And have my blood pump faster
When I knew that you'd be there
Have me smile when you would do nothing but appear
Because you knew that love, to me, would always be ever so dear.
