Plea For Paris Poem by Stephen Pennell

Plea For Paris

Did your god cry for their loss my friend
Does your holy book preach peace or hate
Will you dry the tears of the lost loved ones
The blood on your hands colour's your soul my friend
An eye for an eye some say, you'll see the world blind to your hate
preachers or politicians will spin you lies
To fight for freedom or their imaginary friends
Turn away from violence, Show war the door
slam it in the face of hate my friend
Peace and love should over come the pain x
