Please Forgive Me Poem by Nilesh Tavarayan

Two years have passed by since our final 'good bye'.
Memories of you still linger in my mind.
I still can remember the day we met;
It was the happiest day of my life, and it seems like yesterday,
But the reality is that you are not with me anymore.
I try to make up my mind and get along with my life.
Reality is that I can't even take you out of my mind even for a second.
I try my best but my heart and mind won't let me.
My friends try their best to convince me to get along,
Oh! What a pointless and worthless task.
My heart aches and my mind is weak thinking of you.
It always bring a tear in to my eye,
When I see the places we travelled, dined, and spent
Hours and hours together.
I always ask the question from Lord God,
Why did he leave me alone to suffer in this world?
I asked him why didn't he take my life too?
If so we should have been together in God's paradise,
But, 'NO' it was not his plan.
Whenever I look at a girl, I always see you standing there
I try to erase the memories but it is pointless,
It is engraved in my heart and mind.
My Love, I won't forgive myself for the recklessness,
And the irresponsible behaviour that caused you your life
I am so unfortunate that I couldn't express my love for you.
I know that you are in God's paradise
Looking and listening to me
So I take this opportunity to tell you that:
'Sweet girl, I love you so much, and
You will have a special place in my heart.
I will always miss your presence,
And no one will be able to replace you.'
Can you ever forgive me for the things I did?
If you can, please forgive me my Love.
Finally, my sweet heart accept my kiss and
Seal it in your heart till the day I come
And reunite with you in paradise.
