Rating: 5.0

Crumpled papers, distorted thoughts
Incomplete poems and unshed tears.
Suffocated heart with bruised emotions,
Your empty promises embedded in that heart
Your shallow laughter with a touch of lies
You insensitivity that snatched my smiles.
Why didn't I see the treacherous path of love?
Why didn't I recognise my heart's cries?
My innocent heart and my hopeful dreams
All along to you a game they seemed
Words failed me as they have drowned
In the sorrowful sea of pain and hurts
A soulless soul with my dried up eyes
I stare into the sky searching for peace
Did I deserve the pain I receive My God?
My heart just bleeds in deep pain and agony
Would you take me away from this world My God?
Would you release me from worldly bonds?
Hiding me forever in your shadow?
Would you release me from all this pain?

Did I deserve the pain I receive My God? My heart just bleeds in deep pain and agony Would you release me from worldly bonds? .. such situations as you describe is very very painful...... sorry that you had to undergo it....... we all experience that in some occasions of our lives..... only way to get free from such pain is to cry out to the Lord of heaven and earth as you cry in this poem...... like this portrayal human lived experience of treachery, insincerity. lack of love......... betrayal......... thank you dear poetess. Pain and sorrow is part and parcel of this life, getting rid from is early the better...to carry it is like carrying donkey's load...10+++ Thought provoking poem indeed.
