Plunging In Through The Moistened Depths Poem by Mark Vigna

Plunging In Through The Moistened Depths

Splintered diamonds and shaded sunlight
Spread across the dreary brain.
Words appear like wolves in the night;
Heading nowhere, a speeding train.

Walking out, the daylight breezes,
Seeking in the seething rain.
Walking in, the daylight ceases,
Speeding, speeding, a speeding train.

Wonder why what matters, matters.
Wonder bows to utter disdain.
Wonder! Wonder. Wonder, why, it shatters
Heading nowhere, a speeding train.

Racing through the glittering plunder.
First to reach the tunnel, sane?
Dancing with the ghost of thunder,
Speeding, speeding, a speeding train.
