Poem 106, Sonnet 52: No Place For Me Poem by Samer Madbak

Poem 106, Sonnet 52: No Place For Me

There is no place for me, no sanctuary
'Mongst you, my friends, there’s nothing to relate us
Two worlds, divided by a deep hiatus,
We stand apart till perpetuity,
We are the hub of contrariety
Shirking whatever may associate us,
You jib at my beliefs, my curious status
I mock your codes, your solid entity.
We are Dissent, and my outlandish soul
Must roam the heavens of insanity,
My mouth must sip the elixir of gall,
And feed the lotuses of oddity…
That’s why, my friends, this is no place, no stall,
No harbor for my wand’ring argosy!
