Poem No: 25. I'm Again On The Bank Of The River. Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

Poem No: 25. I'm Again On The Bank Of The River.

Rating: 5.0

I'm again on the bank of the river.
About thirteen years ago I came here.
How quickly time passes; how fast man grows
But Nature is untouched with Time's sharp edge.

That river is flowing in the same way
And the Cuckoo sings the same melody.
The trees are covered with lovely flowers.
The sun is setting in the stream water.

Once we would share our joy with Nature.
Now I'm lone on the bank of the river.
She is surprised seeing me here lonely
And says to me, ' Dear friend! now where is she? '

I remained silent; tears rolled down from eyes.
Then I said, ' She's within my heart always.'
