Poem Preceding Time

Poetry paves the heart's compassionate path
signals alarming the soul of coming return
ultimate creative force resonating from
the heart of existence

nature, architecture
geometry, magic, medicine
technology and science

laughter, song
silence, stillness
all movement
all sound

love, humor, everyday happenings
world news, music, politics
beauty, truth, tragedies, lies
myth, immortality, heartbreak and epic triumph

risings, fallings,
struggles and sufferings
reality, dream
light and darkness
conscious realms in between

the shared cry of
humanity and god

the poem written
preceding time
captures all

poetry spoken in every language
known in every world
communication life line of the soul
