Poems Without Words Poem by Richard Autry

Poems Without Words

I want to write poems without words
Because words are only puffs of wind
Just vibrating waves carried thru air
Only small noises joined together
To somehow form bigger meanings

I want to write poems without thoughts
Ones with only pure emotion
Poems that make you stomach tighten
The center of your chest ache
And tears flow freely from your eyes

I want to write poems from the soul
Poems written in the blood of the heart
With a pen made of fools gold
That reach out and softly grab you
And then take over control
