Poet's View On Fellow Poet Poem by Abdul Wahab

Poet's View On Fellow Poet

Rating: 5.0

I revolve
And evolve as a writer, as a poet
Congratulations to peers who have already reached the height
No hate, no frowning to toddler who has just started the work
To day they struggle like you did
Tomorrow they may be up to the mark
And surpass you.

I battle
And wrestle as a writer, as a poet
A big salute to them who have got a distinctive style
No qualms for a poet who has not yet find ways to impress
Today they may appear diminutive
Tomorrow they may emerge as an original and fresh
And unsettle you.

great thoughts on fellow poets. We each start as a child writing trying to develop our skills. A young poet asked for my help in the English language. I was more than happy to help him. Today his English is near perfect and a great writer of love poems. I am very pleased with him.

Nice thoughts. A teacher feels proud when the student reached a higher level. As poets we look for others to flourish as poets. Every poet is unique since each poet expresses so differently on the same topic. Beautiful poem. Thank you.
