Poetry Poem by Udita Garg

Poetry

a fruit, to peel and peel the skins
o reach the soul's juice
a hidden yellowed book of sins
repentance, and a truce
between one's heart and soul
between yourself and god
a revelation, a confession
a description, a narration
love's ultimate fruition
passion and intuition
a part written and forgotten
a past accounted and begotten
in a form, in a song
an emotion revisited nostalgically again
a sweet reminiscence of washed away pain
an unspoken relationship
between the self and the self
the divine and the self
the reader and the self
the poem and the self
the words and the self
the rhythm and the self
the image and the self
the music and the self
a relationship of discovery
of unearthing the mystery
of keeping the secrecy
of the touched privacy
a poetic soul is a non virgin entity therefore
discovered, touched, uncovered
unearthed, but the last sheen sheet of purity remains
in the pleasures, bliss and the pain
in the guise of written memory
it holds its last veils
a sacred seeing into the soul
by the self, the reader and itself the soul.
