I want to tell you that poetry is my life
With my words I fight
Fight to live life...
Fight to control my feelings.
So I can start to begin dealing
POETRY IS MY LIFE
It helps me through all my pain and strife
I can say this is a way I cope
See it's not worth smoking dope
Poisoning the brain next wondering why your going insane
But when I write I see the light
That shines and makes me feel alright
Poetry is my escape out
Helping all my emotions to shout! !
Instead of pout
But to be loud
For there is a crowd that shall hear my voice
And help one make a choice
To be heard as well
For everyone has a story to tell
What is it that helps you deal?
With everything around you and all that you feel
For my way is through my poetry
My rythm....
My word choice...
The tone in my voice..
Coming out all into a song
For I see far and beyond today
It's not a fantasy
But a vision I can only see
Through my poetry I can walk through the maze
Even as I am in a different phase
To reach my destination and recieve my prize
For I have rised
