From out of my window
looking at the sun rise
its' light blinding me,
taking a bold step,
i went outside
wondering why the sun
shone on me, looking away
palms sheilding my eyes
i took a walk to the unknown
Away from home....
fear setting as sand to cement
not bamboozled by the crowd,
confusion, rage bitterness and more hunger....
A step backwards, another
and yet another step backwards,
it all seemed like a dream...
crying, the pain firm
CONFUSED, yet took another step...
Voices calling out
distraction as permanent but not moved;
the sun blinding me
hiding from its' burn and scourge,
pregnant and confused,
pains of push and pull
almost full....
STRIVING, travailing as i focus,
my view blurry
but can see clearly now....
hands pulling, voices calling YET
none did i listen to...
Aiming for the peak,
voices became louder, drawing closer:
hands pulling harder, SCAVENGERS! ,
like a dream,
at the bottom of the mountain,
on the ALERT!
Courage pulling me up;
taking my first climb,
another and yet another...
louder voices deafening me,
hand pulling the hardest...
ignoring, striving and shoving
until i got to the top.....
Looking from above, satisfied!
I knew this is my point of no return.... (LIFE!)
