Point Of View Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Point Of View

My observations,
Are mainly based...
From a poetic writer's point of view.
When done to publicly have critiqued.
My personal feelings,
Are much less poetic.
And the ones who have heard me,
Address to them...
What it is directly to them expressed.
With my feelings felt.
Know immediately it ain't poetic.
Nor do I make attempts,
To be politically correct.
And like many writers who are poets,
This task is not easy to master.
In times like these,
When offending anyone purposely...
Is a temptation that requires,
Patience, isolation.
And determination to stay away,
From letting it all hang out.
Like someone crazed on a personal rampage.
Afterall,
Dignity to keep it...
Is better than a mouth,
Disconnected from its caboose running loose!
