Pole Windmills Poem by John McCornack

Pole Windmills

Windmills come in all sizes and configurations
From wood towers, to metal construction
Both can bring much peace and excitement
But the dreaded pole was a bad introduction

With the pole the romance is being drained
From the earlier memories of our country side
Where there was love and beauty from sunsets
It is this that future generations will be denied
