Pollen Rains Poem by Dayan Darko

Pollen Rains

Rating: 5.0

Pollen rains
Fall when the time's ripe
Days when the wind sing and swirls
You around
Flower
Then your beauty is most seen
As every facet of you to all is shown

The pollen rains
In your time of bloom
In your time of crowning
You dance to the rythms of the wind
And sparkle in your glory
But then the pollen still rains
And you've forgotten to let out your stigma

The pollen yet rains
Oh flower
Though your petals bouyantly hang
In a manner
That lets your manna
Roll off onto the ground
And become water over the dam

The pollen still rains
When you begin to wither
With nothing left in you to give another
Your stigma that sometime would have begotten an anther
Now wilts, while the song still goes
And the pollen grains rain.
