Ponder Before Dying

Have you fearful thoughts of dying?
With heart, heavy as stone
Life's ultimate end, denying
Facing the great unknown

Oblivious, to what's ahead
What life is all about?
Thinking of when a person's dead
You want to flee and shout

Writhing, squeamish, tossing, turning
Worrying nerves affray
Hearing, fearing most concerning
Alive, on judgement day

Facing Jesus, God's Christ risen
From whom, no sin can hide
To free, from hell's endless prison
For you! He came and died

This Jesus Lord God, King reigning
Creator of one and all
While true righteousness maintaining
On bended knees you'll fall

Everything thing thought, all said and done
To all who've lived displayed
Lying naked before God's Son
True judgement will be made

Consider before when dying
While life my God sustains
Instead of Jesus denying
Pray He loose Hell's chains

A prayer my friend, a single prayer
A moment from your heart
Humbly spoken from anywhere
For sin and shame to part…..
