Pool Of Verdict Poem by Aditya Marskole

Pool Of Verdict

Rating: 1.5

A monolithic child of a world implores
With a contemptuous dilemma
To condemn or be condemned,
Neck deep I lie for the self-sacrament.
Feathery lightness imitating
The smug cleansing of complexion,
Devoted, I scour through the red scales.
A surface to be stroked white
Will be choked with primal screams.
Screams of self-righteous dread,
Odious sight of thine, lurking.
Dire gruesome vigilance I purge,
Those gauging eyes I eradicate I dissolve,
It's not a scheme of satisfaction, I cry,
Am a mere abiding stooge of the comedian,
For laughs of my own, I purge!
Dead from neck above, I bow,
And the oblique lustrous water reflects
A scrawny mephisto with a smirk,
In that crimson pool of sin,
I choose to condemn.
