Poor A Man Poem by Amitava Sur

Poor A Man

Rating: 5.0

Oh’ Lord the Almighty, the creator of all
With a Big Bang You made the universe so big.

You decorated this lovely world
With life inside it.

Finally You planted a seed, human by name
With a little mind inside that which can rethink.

So far it was so very good that nothing to complain
But after that You gave the real twist in it.

You gave us a chance to be wise with wisdom
But at a time injected six vices inside,
They are the lust, desire, greed, anger -
With addiction and envy.

Poor a man this human being – what he can do
Single alone this wise LOVE ….has to fight the six foes.

Why have You planted these devilish six foes
Deviating the goodness of us constantly with force?

Whatever some goodness we accumulate within
Several times they are swept out by those six foes.

Only one wisdom of love is attacked by them all
They tear off the goodness of men into piece mills.

Poor a man this human being is so helpless
Mostly they give into those might of six foes.

Why have You planted these devilish six foes
Deviating the goodness of us constantly with force?

It is almost perverse to have created a human being and then placed all sorts of traps for them to fall into, just to prove their love by disregarding all these temptations. Man is helpless against all these foes tearing him from the goodness he is supposed to enjoy somehow. Awesome poem on the cruelty of mankind through supposed goodness. Thank you, Amitava. RoseAnn
