Poor Sense Of Self Worth Poem by Francis Duggan

Poor Sense Of Self Worth

Poor sense of self worth can give rise to low self esteem
On that count we all are quite similar 'twould seem
By Society's approval egos are satisfied
Us humans are creatures with a sense of pride.

Our debt to Society 'tis said we must pay
And to most of us it does matter what others of us say
But 'tis true of the homeless poor souls of the town
That they are the people the knockers cannot drag down.

Many suffer from a poor sense of self worth and it does seem sad to say
That low self esteem with them through their lives does stay
They feel that the standard set by Big Brother they do fail to meet
Big Brother who rates everyone on the street.

A poor sense of self worth to some only apply
And though for what to them is success they never cease to try
It seems to elude them and their sense of low self esteem with them stay
And for as long as they live from them won't go away.
