Porcelain Eyest Poem by Sierra Kavanagh

Porcelain Eyest

Through the porcelain eyes of a child
You watch in mock horror
A face frozen in fear with no meaning
A false terror
Behind the hollowed empty eyes you call home

Only the faintest of scars linger
To remind you of why you're still here
Though it was only temporary
It wasn't meant for you to remain numb

That one constant thought
Aching in the back of your mind
It screams to take action
You scream to fight it
It tortures you with false hopes and dreams
Had you ever really been there?

Was it all a lie
Were you always meant to drown in these depths?
Can you see who else you're hurting?
Was it always your goal?

An ulterior motive behind a hidden mask
Your wish came true
That is if it truly was your goal to hurt others
You surely hurt me
Knowing you is killing me
