Porithmetic Poem by Bancroft Boreland

Porithmetic

Rating: 3.5

Life they say, is similar to mathematics
It is full of problems for which we try to find solutions
Hate divided by love is
Equal to a mixed number
Subtract happiness from success
And tell me the answer

Multiply sorrow by faith and the sum is hope
Minus good from money and
You’ll know the square root of evil
Freedom + love + peace + faith
Is equal to a number desired by all people

Add all of the above sums
And you have the grand total: life
