Portrait Of Humanity Poem by shane lewicki

Portrait Of Humanity

Caught is the victim caressing they're own blood,
A stained future, broken by doubt,
Walls of graffiti surround they're existence,
Shallow halls shadowed by ghosts,
Silent screams come unanswered,
Sands of time quickly fading,
Last breath soon to be wasted, Defeated by hatred, an uncaring mind, Broken lust, deceived by humanity,
Blanketed misfortune darkens the sight,
Shallow halls a stain to the innocent,
The walking ghosts always forgotten,
A misadventure taken by the wind,
Gone is the laughter stolen by sin,
A muse drenched in insanity, Torn by a plot, amused by greed...
