Post Modern Marriage Poem by Michael Anthony Hernandez

Post Modern Marriage

Post Modern Marriage

I have my

Wife
My beautiful wife
Of seven years
Still as robust as
Honeymoon night
I am
Completely satisfied

I have my

Children
One son and daughter
Three and five
Respectively
Don’t talk to strangers
I preach this and that
Of life
I am
Proud daddy

I have my

Outlets
Email and chat
At the midnight hour
Facebook contacts
Keeping me emotionally
Tethered
More like
Socially quantified
Dare I admit

I am

Today’s generation American
Liberal social boundaries
I am
A member of
Post modern society
In the 21st Century

It is a new day and age. As with every generation, we adapt. Thanks for sharing, Michael
