There is no light in my life
I gave it up to the one man
Who was not suppose to let me down
My life has been shattered and destroyed
When I have asked for help
You ignored me
Where were you when I needed you?
I have heard form everyone
That you do everything for a reason
I believe the reason you do it
Is to show how powerful you are
I got it; you are the powerful Almighty
I was not ready for the obstacles you put in my way
It destroyed me and brought me as low as I could go
The hatred I felt for you
I could not even describe
But the love I felt for you
Evened the hate out
Please just tell me what you wanted to do with my life
I am tired of trying to please you
I don’t know what else to do
You used me as you pleased
I am not your vessel
I am a prisoner
In my own mind and body
Release me so I can be free
If you have a purpose for me
I beg of you to show me
I am ready when you are
Ready for the light
To be put back into my life.
