Prayers And Supplications Poem by Cindy Wyatt

Prayers And Supplications

Prayer is asking God for blessings to bring
and supplication is begging for the same thing,
just to keep knocking at the door
until the answer comes and blessings outpour,
prayer that will not take no for an answer
knowing God is listening for sure,
that he cares when we beg and plead,
sees our heart cry and knows our need,
aware of our deepest longings and desires
and of hearing our petitions never tires,
even as Jacob wrestled with the angel all night,
refusing to give in or give up the fight
saying, I will not let thee go except thou bless me,
God answering him and from his heavy burden set free

Psalm 116: 1 I love the LORD because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.
