Precious Poem by Gillena Cox

Precious

Rating: 4.2

I never lied to you;
Now and forever
my love remains true

The voice of conscience
must whisper in your ear;
Even in your pretense
that you do not hear.
Stay in your mode
of indifference to a heart,
sealed with a code
encrypted for the better part

There is no passion wasted.
Alas! a gift of rare impart
There is no care unrequited
