Precious In My Eyes Poem by David Harris

Precious In My Eyes

Rating: 5.0

I often write funny things
about my wife and friends,
but I would never hurt or slander them,
they are too precious in my eyes.
Help I will give them,
but hurt never crosses my mind,
they are too valuable to ever sacrifice.
I never like seeing anyone feeling down,
that sort of misery only causes a frown.
Love for everyone is what we need to give.
The old saying has it right
when it says live and let live.
Hearts will always flourish
under a laugh and a smile.
A blown kiss can travel mile after mile.
A hug for someone
can often save the day,
and a prayer can help
to chase the fear away.
So as I look around
at all those I cherish most
I would feel so upset
if I thought I hurt any of them.
I only joke about with
the ones I love the most.
It was just my way when I say something simple
like I love you most of all.
