Predictions Poem by Gert Strydom

The lost book of Nostradamus
suddenly is found and quoted
and even predictions
from extinct people
that the hour work
is hitting near the end
and that man
is standing on the brink of disaster
is given.

Astrologers and old prophets
leave people dumbstruck
with predictions
about what is going to happen with humanity
and people look up into the sky
to see what the stars are telling.

Great Lord, of all of this I know very little,
just that all things begin with You
and that Your hand
is still around the world
and Your love and compassion
still reaches out to man.
