Presence Poem by Daniel Isaac Gordon

Presence

Make your presence known
While you are but a sapling
For your shade will make them happy
By the time that you are grown.

Make your presence known
By telling them a story
Of truth and love and glory
Much greater than your own.

Make your presence known
As this shall be your duty
To share your inner beauty
That you might never be alone.

Reap what you have sewn
Since the day you sprung from earth
You have proven what you’re worth
By making your presence known.
