Preservation Poem by Abdul Wahab

Preservation

Rating: 4.5

A want I constantly feel
0f the lack of understating whether I had enough guidance
When I was a child but I never mean to say that
I am not doing well at present
But a feeling is eating me away, always
That I could have earned more and done better
If I had been told
Mathematics is the core of science
And technology is the sole means of development
Then I could have done the best
Accept the past and enjoy your present
They will jump up and like a wise man will say
Then if it is not good, why I do what I am doing now
Perhaps you are itching to answer them saying
Writing is not less than anything this world has seen as best
Yet, I feel a lack of guidance
And this feeling of lacking in life is my strength
To ask, to look back and above all to reflect
As an hour of reflection is better than
Hundred years of worshipping
Says the prophet and my reflection here says to me
Do not lose or let it decline what have achieved
And this is the best guidance ever I have got in my life
May be preservation is the right word for you.
